Biography

Sari M. Kay, MD is a board-certified Pediatric Gastroenterologist. Originally from Minnesota, she received her undergraduate degree in neurobiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and went on to medical school at the Sackler School of Medicine at the Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv, Israel. She returned to the US and completed her pediatric residency in New York at Jacobi Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She received multiple teaching awards during residency and was selected to serve an extra year as Chief Pediatric Resident. She went on to complete her pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. She has authored a chapter on pediatric gastroenterology in the Clinical Manual of Emergency Pediatrics, as well as chapters in the NASPGHAN Fellows Concise Review of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. She has a special interest and expertise in treating patients with inflammatory bowel disease as well as celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, constipation, infant reflux, and functional GI disorders. Dr. Kay and her husband moved down to South Florida after her training and have two daughters and a delicious doodle who all love spending time with family and being at the beach.
